## What Penn does

- Auto-classifies inbound press inquiries (Haiku) with Pacific-TZ deadline parsing
- Drafts outbound pitches grounded in real journalist bylines (corpus of ~30 outlets, hourly crawler)
- Surfaces prior-relationship context inline (via Relationship Radar)
- Surfaces matching portfolio companies inline (via pitch.vc)
- Tier-classifies sends (1/2/3); tier-3 requires TOTP step-up
- HMAC-chains every audit row with daily R2-object-lock checkpoint signing (7y retention)
- Refuses to: send without AI disclosure, quote without typed Source, pitch opt-outs, ship unverified stats

## What Penn is not

- A high-volume cold-email tool. The catastrophic failure is being blocklisted; volume is not the metric.
- An autonomous publishing system. Every send requires human approval.
- A generic LLM wrapper. The classifier verdicts, refusal predicates, and audit chain are first-class system behavior, not prompt instructions.
